Story of Tlaloc in King's Throne

"Tlaloc was born into a noble family, which aided his rapid rise through the ranks, eventually earning him induction into the Order of the Jaguar, a distinction bestowed upon elite warrior leaders on the battlefield. As he grew older and wiser, he persuaded the emperor to promote him to the position of high priest in charge of the sacrificial ceremonies for the gods. In exchange for good harvests and rain, he would pierce the captured enemies' chests with a dagger made of volcanic glass obsidian and offer their hearts and blood to the gods. Tlaloc was a master of his craft, and his ritualistic offerings ensured that his people had enough to eat and prosper. As the years went on, Tlaloc became more and more revered by his people as a link between them and the gods. When Tlaloc called for more sacrificial candidates, his people would travel far beyond their borders in search of new enemies to capture or allies to aid."
