Story of Tezcatlipoca in King's Throne

"The dualistic deity Tezcatlipoca had a reputation for being a schemer in this realm. Tlaloc had claimed the beautiful maiden Xochiquetzal, but Tezcatlipoca could not cease longing for her beauty. He thus captured Xochiquetzal during his festival, Tozcatl, in order to marry her atop Tenochtitlan and seal their union with a sacrifice. As soon as Tlaloc learned of the betrayal, he implored the great beast, Quetzalcoatl, to unite with him in battle. Tezcatlipoca knew that his actions would be met with retaliation, so he dispatched his minions to scour the jubilant crowds for his foes. Though they found them, they were no match for the strength of two such mighty beings. The fight continued as he readied himself for battle, and the air crackled with energy when the two sides finally clashed! Xochiquetzal's fate hung in the balance, but who exactly would emerge victorious remained uncertain…"
